Don’t mess around, this is the cut you need when you want to impress a crowd! Our Whole Beef Eye Fillets are trimmed from the side muscle and ready to cook whole or sliced into steaks. The Eye Fillet, or Tenderloin, is incredibly tender: Lean on the outside and you’re able to eat every last piece.

Serves 4-5 people, or 7-8 thinly sliced

Cooking Instructions

Pop on BBQ and cook until it has reached the desired ‘doneness’. We recommend using a meat thermometer to take the guess work out of cooking and to ensure all guests are happy.

If you are cutting the Whole Fillet into steaks, you can either wrap the smaller tail piece together (for another steak), or slice thinly and turn into beef stirfry. Serves 7 in steaks or 10 when sliced thinly.

Whole eye fillet

I just love the whole eye fillet. As I can slice it and free flow it on a baking tray and then bag it up some for my family and some for myself and it’s always delicious. . Thank you Green Meadow Beef.

Best meat ever for a special treat

We have a tradition of cooking a whole eye fillet for the end-of-year holidays. This was one of the best fillets we had ever had. It was easy to cook because the fillet was all the same size (thick, too!) and succulent, making our festivities effortless. We seared the fillet in an oven tray and put it in the oven using our trusty thermometer to ensure it was yummy at medium rare. As usual, there was excellent service, too, and I am grateful for the drop-off point for rural customers.
