Schnitzel is a popular beef cut for the whole family.  We cut this exclusively from the knuckle which gives a slice that is thin and quick to cook.  Our butchers use a meat slicer (rather than hand) to ensure that each piece is uniform in thickness and, hopefully, making things easier in the kitchen.  

 4-5 slices per 500g pack.

Cooking Instructions

You can’t go past a traditional egg crumb. Rub both sides of the beef with flour and then dip into a bowl of seasoned whisked eggs, ensuring all of the schnitzel is covered. Next coat both sides with bread, panko crumbs or your favourite gluten free crumb. Cook on a medium heat with lots of butter for a golden crumb. This Beef Schnitzel with Lemon Mash is a household favourite for us!

For something different, try using dukkah rather than breadcrumbs for a tasty alternative - we highly recommend!
